BuildTrust is a platform for finding, vetting, and connecting with service professionals. When you hire a professional through BuildTrust:

• You and the professional agree on scope, price, and timeline
• You arrange payment directly with the professional
• BuildTrust does not collect, hold, or transfer any funds
• There are no connection fees, commissions, or platform charges during launch

Best Practices

We recommend the following when arranging payment with a professional:

• Agree in writing: Use BuildTrust's messaging tools to document scope, price, and milestones before work begins
• Structure in stages: For larger projects, consider milestone-based payments (e.g., deposit, mid-project, final)
• Get a written quote: Ask the professional for a detailed quote before starting
• Keep records: Save all agreements and communication through the platform

If Issues Arise

Since payments are arranged directly between you and the professional, any payment disputes should be resolved between both parties. BuildTrust provides messaging tools to help you document agreements and communication, which can help if issues arise.

If you believe a professional has acted fraudulently or violated platform terms, you can report them through the platform and we will review their listing.

BuildTrust's Role

BuildTrust's role is to help you find and vet professionals. We display credential status (license, insurance, bond) on every profile so you can make an informed decision. We do not guarantee the quality of work, process payments, or mediate financial disputes.

You always choose who to hire, how to pay, and when to pay — that control stays with you.
